The 13th Arquiteturas Film Festival (AFF) returns to Porto from 1–5 July 2026 under the theme Urban Age, bringing together 33 films from 22 countries alongside debates, exhibitions, urban walks, and a photography workshop across venues including Batalha Centro de Cinema, Casa Comum, INSTITUTO and Circo de Ideias. Exploring housing, public space, infrastructure, ecologies, mobility and cultural identity, this year's programme examines the social, political and environmental forces shaping contemporary urban life through a diverse selection of documentaries, fiction and experimental films.

Alongside the international competition, the festival features a Portugal Special focused on housing and urban transformation, a Guest Programme curated by ETH Zurich's Chair of Architecture and Urban Design, filmmaker conversations, guided city walks, and the workshop Architecture of the Eye led by Leon Krige. Together, these events position cinema as a critical lens through which to reflect on the city—not only as a physical environment, but as a contested social, cultural and ecological terrain.
