Amman Design Week 2026 considers how material, social, ecological and cultural processes gather and interact over time to shape objects, spaces and landscapes. Through exhibitions and public programmes, Accumulations examines the relationships between everyday rituals, inherited knowledge, labour and infrastructure, foregrounding the often-overlooked practices of care, maintenance and repair.

Grounded in Jordan’s changing urban landscapes, resource dynamics and practices of making, the edition asks how design can respond to existing conditions and serve those who use it. Its emphasis on useful, locally rooted design as a public good forms part of a wider curatorial platform supporting designers, makers and innovators through learning, mentorship and collaboration.
