Vyjayanthi Rao is an anthropologist, writer, curator and ethnographer. She is co-director of the Terreform Center for Advanced Urban Research in New York (USA) and founding co-director of PUKAR in Mumbai (IN). Her practice combines ethnographic fieldwork with mapping, filmmaking and other forms of visual research. She has received her BA in Anthropology from Brandeis University, a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and was a post-doc at Yale University (USA).
