Sam Atwood

Sam Atwood is a designer, researcher, learner and recent graduate from the Master of Architecture programme at the University of South Australia. As an explorer of multiple alternatives, identities and as a driver of social, environmental and cultural change, working with communities to co-design vibrant futures in processes of deconstruction and re-imagination, they enjoy exploring the intersection and embodiment of architecture, urban design, research, creativity and critical theory. They have previously undertaken internships with ArchiWorkshop and SsD Architecture + Urbanism in Seoul, South Korea, as well as Takeshi Hosaka Architects in Tokyo, Japan as part of the New Colombo Plan Scholarship program. They have been awarded for the Integration of Research and Design by the Australian Institute of Architects (SA Chapter) and is a previous recipient of the Hames Sharley Prize in Architecture.
