Raquel Rolnik is a Brazilian architect, urban planner and professor at the University of São Paulo, where she coordinates LabCidade, the Public Space and Right to the City Laboratory. Her work spans research, activism and public policy, focusing on housing rights, urban land and the financialisation of cities. She served as UN Special Rapporteur on adequate housing from 2008 to 2014 and as Brazil’s National Secretary for Urban Programmes from 2003 to 2007.
