Trace-making defines the borders of human existence and experience in the built and natural environment during the Anthropocene and the imminent climate catastrophe. This is evident in the Marneuli Bazaar and Shulaveri village, where borders between cultures are blurred, and where the group of students and researchers - ready to document everyday life - has left its own trace. In an interplay between presence and absence the team of outsiders has traced insightful sketch maps, a democratic and respectful phenomenological and vernacular tool for the mapping of locals and foreigners’ experience.
