Georg Kolbe’s sculpture ‘Dawn’ is standing exposed in the pool, raising her arms to stretch in the morning – or rather to protect against the visitors’ gaze? Through adding more arms, the figure is no longer a woman, nor a man, or an animal, it becomes an empowered tentacular being that is stretching out and thereby embracing and connecting other beeings. Or as Donna Haraway writes, “The tentacular are also nets and networks, it critters, in and out of clouds. Tentacularity is about life lived along lines — and such a wealth of lines — not at points, not in spheres.”

The intervention was presented at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion Barcelona within the context of the project "Palace of Un/Learning: Glitching Mies."
