The chemistry would change
And the weeds would no longer grow

The Germ in highways
Points to segregation of
Wealth, of access, of human dignity

The Germ in civic buildings
Looks like the switching of narratives
Being told by the voices that have been
Silenced with white marble + monuments

The Germ in housing
Grieves the going out of community
And the coming in of command + control
It asks: What has Architecture taken away from us?

Instead of pulling every weed from the field, why not imagine a germ that can change the chemistry of the soil?
