Teatro Nostrum, project developed within the context of the University of Thessaly, is a floating cultural center for the dispersed urbanity of the Aegean archipelago. Each winter, the few permanent islanders can’t sustain the delirious Aegean metropolis of summertime. No theatrical performances, concerts, exhibitions, workshops or other entertaining events strike the routine of winter Aegean while, just a few miles away, at the perimeter of archipelago, the big urban centers are full of cultural happenings. Teatro Nostrum could anchor to the smallest islands of archipelago with few tens inhabitants or to big port-cities with millions of residences. The size and characteristics of each audience, the idiosyncrasy of each credits’ group and the wide variety of usages can be served in the best way in a space with very strict limits.
