The photo was taken during the opening of the Tbilisi Architecture Biennial at Sanatorium "Kartli" in Tbilisi, where IDPs from Abkhazia have lived for more than 30 years. Now a dilapidated building, is one of the outstanding examples of Soviet architecture, which is located near Tbilisi Sea and was initially built as a sanatorium. The main theme of the 2022 edition of the Biennial is temporality, which defined the sanatorium "Kartli" as the subject of research on impermanence.
