This project focuses specifically around Lake Albano. Still today in the Roman imaginary, the Alban Hills are destinations for quick escapes from the city and have a reputation as a place of enjoyment. TheLake is located within the boundary of the Parco Regionale dei Castelli Romani and the core of the project is to free theatrical spaces from buildings by returning them to open-air civic spaces, and reclaim the lost connection between acts of settlement and theater which has characterised this area since the middle ages, renaissance and baroque periods.
