The project focuses on creating spaces that prioritize emotional resonance over conventional functionality. The design philosophy emphasizes atmospheres that inspire imagination and emotional engagement, treating experience as the primary function. This approach opposes technological determinism, addressing the elusive nature of spatial atmosphere in the industry. Using linguistic analogies for atmosphere design, the project highlights the gap in architectural education regarding the creation of rich, resonant civic experiences. By proposing a framework to bridge the gap between architectural intent and the reality of spatial experiences, this work aims to contribute to designing relatable, life-affirming atmospheres. The project was developed within the context of the London School of Architecture.
