OFFICE is a not-for-profit multidisciplinary design and research practice based in Melbourne, Australia, run by architect Simon Robinson and landscape architect Steve Mintern. Together, they have built a mode of operating that proposes a novel way to consider the architect’s role in the built environment. Retain, Repair, Reinvest (RRR) is a site-specific strategy developed by OFFICE for evaluating the refurbishment potential of existing public housing. At its core is the retention of public housing with the commitment to ensuring housing as a basic human right.
