This drawing aims to understand the afterlife of the Sir John Soane Museum and imagine what it will become in the future. Located in London, England, the museum started out as a single row house, meant to serve as a home for Soane and his wife. Over the course of two decades, Soane purchased the two adjacent row houses, combined the three, and began storing his wide collection of ancient artifacts. Depicted in the drawing is the Museum’s fourth and final conversion, where Soane himself is resurrected and flees the city of London in his flying house-museum. This drawing is heavily inspired by the work of Hayao Miyazaki.
