Living Archaeology in Gaza raises important questions on the values that local populations could ascribe to digitally reconstructed and otherwise inaccessible cultural heritage sites, and on how an “open-source archaeology” could trigger international, political action as the destruction of cultural heritage is still considered a war crime. In their investigations, drone footage is used to create a point-cloud.
