The project Living Oasis was developed within the context of the Third-year undergraduate spring studio at UIC Chicago "This Is Not a 22-Carat Styrofoam Casino".

The project was inspired by the architecture competition collage drawings from the 1980’s and 1990’s by Thom Mayne, Peter Eisenman, Bernard Tschumi, and Eric Owen Moss. The way the images were portrayed, their complexity, and three-dimensionality brought to an intricate structure that grows from the desert like a vine and starts to transform. The structure starts as a solid element but then starts breaking into smaller pieces towards the end, as if this area is still uncertain. What is going to happen in those extracted moments? What do you imagine it to become? It is yet to be determined.
