Liminal Spaces explores the intricate relationship between ski monoculture, mass tourism and landscape, focusing explicitly on mountain regions. The project investigates the pressing issues arising from the progressive shortening of the winter season and the consequent reactions requiring a significant mobilisation of economic and natural resources. It also explores their impact on the socio-economic and landscape heritage. The key component of the research comprises a photographic project on seven ski areas at the end of the ski season, conducted between April and May 2023, followed by the dissemination of the project results and the subsequent audiovisual representation of the material through various online and offline channels.
