Lower Kartli is the land of shared spaces, narratives, cultures and delicious food. Its liminal condition across the borders of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan makes it a special place, in which each personal story counts. Orthodox Churches, historic mosques, local markets and colourful homes mix in the urban fabric with shared religious rituals, languages, nationalities and culinary traditions, shaping a lively community. Local stories of habits and abandoned factories ultimately mix with the smell of food and the sound of local music, materializing its border condition.
