Hypersymposium acts as an activation of agonism, situated within a city of heterotopias; imagining the role of a bathhouse institution in a world of counter-hegemony. A reconstitution of Plato’s notion of the ‘Symposium’, and the atmospheres of the bathhouse, Hypersymposium is an institution that fosters receptiveness towards agonistics. Throughout history, bathhouses have utilised the logics of hedonism to produce interiors that encourage the rawest form of human collectiveness.
