The underlying premise behind the exhibition “Have We Met? Humans and Non-humans on Common ground”- commissione by the Het Nieuwe Instituut and curated by Klaas Kuitenbrouwer and Ellen Zoete as the Triennale Milano 2022’s Netherlands pavilion - is that we have to move beyond the human-centric worldviews that have brought us to the place where we are, meaning that our insistence that humans are at the top of the food chain and everything else - the rest of the planet - exists for our exploitation has to end.
