Honourable Mnetion | August Call for Drawings

After 15 years of endless waiting, mail is finally on its way. Madelon Vriesendorp, known as the brilliant London-based Dutch artist who has made a unique contribution to the visual culture of architecture, has finally received a letter. For 15 years, Madelon has sent more than 20 thousand postcards, all beautifully aligned, archived in her book and published in more than ten countries all over the world. Yet, no one has sent her a postcard back, until now. The postcard on its way to Madelon consists of four drawings all carefully slipped into a C3 board-backed envelope. On the backside of the last drawing the following sentence is written with a thin pencil: “Greetings from the world of Joris Vandenhaute.”
