The Seagram Building in New York is the hardened face of a planetary metabolic flux of material and energy exchange. Those exchanges reflect unequal ecological exchanges in the world-systems of the building. In UNLESS (Actar Publishers, 2020), Kiel Moe explores "the concept of emergy and the role of what systems ecologist Howard T. Odum describes as 'real wealth'.
