Disorder City: The rebirth of Dead Queenstown
Norrawich Busarakum
A city is the collective senses of its inhabitants. Queenstown was the first movement of housing development in Singapore, where every performance of the city is in control. Alas the new development is the palimpsest on the old tabula rasa, seeming likely the orderly too controlled city is in new growth. The new high-rise buildings replaced all the old ground areas. Life is extruding up, leaving tragic ground in lacking movement of life. The Disorder City wishes to implement disorderliness, in other words, the lively street and flourishing urbanity. The ground vitalisation occurs within various programs, combining with three key-strategies, Emptiness, Catalyst and Network.
