BUILDING BLOCKS weaves together art, architecture and landscape. It is a social sculpture that dreams of building with memories and colors. The project plays with childhood memories and suggests a sense of possibilities yet unexplored. An urban toy and square perform as a model for new places of encounter and skylines of motion and emotion yet to be built. Like Alice in Wonderland who changes scales to transform her perception of reality through dreams, BUILDING BLOCKS provides evidence of the fantastic as part of everyday life. San Juan, Puerto Rico and Seattle, Washington are the generous cities building the first two Building Blocks experiments.
